Early Voting June 13-June 21

Early Voting begins Saturday June 13 and will run until Sunday June 21. Early voting sites may be different from your Election Day poll site, so make sure to check WhosOntheBallot.org before you go to the polls. Hours vary by day, so please plan ahead. Also, your early voting poll location may have changed from past elections, so verify your location before going to vote.

•  Friday, June 19 – 8 AM to 4 PM
•  Saturday, June 20 – 9 AM to 5 PM
•  Sunday, June 21 – 9 AM to 5 PM

WhosOntheBallot.org is ready with all of the information you need to prepare and stay informed for the June 23rd primary, which will determine candidates for State Comptroller, Congressional Representatives, Members of the Assembly; and in some districts County Committee members.

Visit WhosOntheBallot.org to check your voter registration, early voting poll location, election day poll location and set a calendar reminder for election day. Just put in your address to find out who is on your ballot and your polling location for early voting and election day voting. There you can find links to all the candidates’ websites so you can be informed before voting. You can also find your sample ballot, which shows exactly what your ballot will look like in your election district.

Absentee Voting: Requesting a Mail-in Ballot The online portal to request an absentee ballot and/or a downloadable application form to mail-in can be found here. If you need to request an Accessible Ballot, click here.The last day to apply for an absentee ballot by mail is June 14th, though we recommend submitting your request before the deadline.

Due to a recent change in the law, New York State voters are no longer permitted to cast a ballot on a voting machine if they have requested to vote by Absentee Ballot. Voters who have requested to vote by Absentee Ballot can still vote in-person using an Affidavit ballot at early voting or election day poll sites.

Register to Vote Voter registration can be submitted through June 14th, and you will be able to vote in the primary if you are enrolled in a political party. You can register to vote here.

Change Your Party Affiliation The online registration portal or the voter registration form can be used to change your party enrollment from one party to another or to enroll for the first time in a party. An application to change one’s party enrollment for the primary election in any year must be received by the board of elections no later than February 14th of that year.
