Candidate Forums this Week (October 20- 26)
There are a number of Candidate Forums scheduled for the coming week:
- Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m.: CUNY Graduate Center is hosting the first Official Mayoral Canidate Debate. The debate will be broadcast on CBS 2 News, WCBS Newsradio 880, 1010 WINS, WLNY-TV 10/55; El Diario/La Prensa; Itv Gold; TKC; Sino TV; 1380; RTN.
- Tuesday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m.: Bay Ridge Community Council is sponsoring the “Great Bay Ridge Debate.” The event will be held at Holy Angels Academy/OLA, at 337 74th Street in Bay Ridge and will feature the Republican/Conservative and Democratic candidates for Borough President, City Council, and Comptroller. Attendees are expected to include Eric Adams, Elias Weir, Vinnie Gentile, Patrick Dwyer, John Quaglione, Scott Stringer, and John Burnett.
- Tuesday, October 22 at 8:00 p.m.: Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) is airing debates between candidates for City Council Districts 1 and 2. The debates are cosponsored by the League of Women Voters of the City of New York. You can stream the debates online here.
- Wednesday, October 23 at 8:00 p.m.: The MNN and League of Women Voters debate series continues with debates between candidates for City Council Districts 3 and 4. You can stream the debates online here.
- Thursday, October 24 at 8:00 p.m.: NY1′s Road to City Hall will feature a Queens Borough President Candidate Debate.
- Thursday, October 24 at 8:00 p.m.: The MNN and League of Women Voters debate series continues with debates between candidates for City Council District 5. You can stream the debates online here.
- Friday, October 25 at 8:00 p.m.: The MNN and League of Women Voters debate series continues with debates between candidates for City Council District 6 . You can stream the debates online here.
Forums and debates scheduled in later weeks include:
- Monday, October 28 at 8:00 p.m.: The MNN and League of Women Voters debate series continues with debates between candidates for City Council District 7. You can stream the debates online here.
- Tuesday, October 29 at 8:00 p.m.: The MNN and League of Women Voters debate series continues with debates between candidates for City Council Districts 8, 9, and 10. You can stream the debates online here.
- Tuesday, October 29 at 8:00 p.m.: Bayside Hills Civic Association is hosting a Meet the Candidates Night. The event will be held at the Colonial Church of Bayside located on Bell Blvd. at Luke Place and 216th street. Expected to attend are Queens Borough President candidates Melinda Katz, and Aurelio “Tony” Arcabascio; District 19 City Council candidates Mark Weprin and Joe Concannon; and Comptroller candidate John L. Burnett (Comptroller candidate Scott Stringer has been invited.)
- Tuesday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m.: WNBC Studios is hosting the second leading Mayoral Candidate debate. The debate will be broadcast on NBC 4 New York, WOR Radio, Telemundo Nueva York, Radio Soleil, and New Tang Dynasty.
