Help Remind Your Constituents of Upcoming Election Deadlines

We are urging all of our partners to remind their constituents of upcoming election-related deadlines. On Sunday, November 3rd we are sending an email blast reminding our subscribers that they can still vote absentee in-person at their Borough Board of Elections Office.  We would be thrilled if you shared that message with your constituents. For your convenience, we’ve created a styled email that may be sent out to employees or constituents. There are three different formats for sending the email; depending on your capabilities, please select the method that’s right for you.  Email Lynda Hamilton lh2671@sipa.columbia.edu with any questions or suggestions.

1. HTML Email

If you’re using a professional mail service such as Constant Contact, MailChimp, or Campaign Monitor, you may need to deliver a basic HTML email. Have your IT professional paste the following HTML code into a blank template, then test the email before sending. It should look very similar to the purely graphic email option or to this page. (Please note, you should replace YOUR ORGANIZATION with the name of your organization.)

2. Purely Graphic Email

If you’re using MS Outlook, Mac mail or a similar client, a fully graphic email may be the most visually consistent way to send your email. Simply attach the JPG graphic to your email and send to the desired recipients.

Email Chris Santulli (cs2864@columbia.edu) to request an image customized with your organization’s name or logo. A sample (using the Columbia University logo) can be found below:

3. Hybrid Approach

If you’re using MS Outlook, Mac mail or a similar client, you may also mix live text with the Who’s On The Ballot graphic. This allows you to set live an active link in the text to the Who’s on the Ballot site. Specifications for the three elements that comprise this method follow:
