Executive Order Allows Displaced New Yorkers to Cast Affidavit Ballots at Any Polling Place
Governor Cuomo signed an Executive Order on Monday allowing registered New York voters to vote by affidavit Tuesday at any polling place.
The order allows registered voters in New York City (as well as Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester counties) to request an affidavit ballot at any polling place in New York State.
- Voters everywhere will be able to vote for the office of President and United States Senator.
- If a voter is voting outside of his or her home district, they will be unable to vote in local races — such as State Assembly or State Senate.
