On February 19th, there will be a nonpartisan special election in Council District 31 in Queens.  The neighborhoods of Arverne, Bayswater, Edgemere, Far Rockaway, Laurelton, Rosedale, and Springfield Gardens will vote on a Council member to represent the district through the end of 2013.

The seat was previously held by James Sanders Jr., who moved to the State Senate this year.
